Sustainability:
More Than a Word
A Strategic Advantage
The path to the energy transition must itself be shaped sustainably to fully unlock the sector’s long-term potential. At the SeaRenergy Group, we believe that innovation and responsibility must go hand in hand – therefore, we see sustainability as a strategic advantage for a future-ready & resilient company. In our Corporate Sustainability department, we bring this to life by aligning our actions with environmental ambition, social responsibility, and transparent governance. Our understanding of sustainability is based on the following ESG framework.

“Sustainability is not a side project, it’s a strategic imperative that shapes everything we do. At the SeaRenergy Group, we operate in a dynamic and evolving energy landscape that requires resilience, accountability, and long-term vision. ESG isn’t about ticking boxes, it’s about safeguarding our ability to deliver future-ready offshore services while creating sustainable value for clients, employees and society. For us, sustainability means doing the right thing - efficiently, transparently, and with purpose.”

E - Environmental:
Shaping Impact
We take responsibility for how our operations affect the environment. This includes reducing greenhouse gas emissions, improving energy and resource efficiency, avoiding pollution, and protecting biodiversity and ecosystems. We are committed to making sustainability part of our operational reality.
„You can’t manage what you don’t measure.“
The Carbon Compass is SeaRenergy’s key tool for measuring and managing greenhouse gas emissions. It captures emissions from internal operations and projects, supports mobility surveys, and produces an annual GHG report. Built on the principles of the GHG Protocol, it enables us to identify CO₂ hotspots, drive targeted reduction efforts, and enhance transparency. As a strategic step toward aligning with future sustainability standards like the VSME, the Carbon Compass reflects our commitment to continuous improvement and credible environmental management.
We are proud to be a partner of the City of Hamburg’s UmweltPartnerschaft since 2021. As a company rooted in Hamburg, we see this collaboration as a natural extension of our commitment to environmental responsibility and regional engagement. The partnership supports our efforts to continuously reduce our ecological footprint and contribute to Hamburg’s sustainability goals. It also reflects a key element of our ESG approach — fostering progress through strong partnerships and shared responsibility. Through joint initiatives and transparent communication, we aim to create lasting impact both locally and beyond.
G - Governance:
Leading with Integrity
Good governance drives credible sustainability. We embed ethics, transparency, and accountability into our leadership and decision-making processes. From anti-corruption to board oversight and stakeholder engagement – we ensure that sustainability is not a side topic but part of how we lead.

“We must navigate multiple challenges & crises simultaneously - from the climate crisis to shifting regulatory and stakeholder expectations. ESG is not a trend but a long-term responsibility that demands consistency, clear direction and collaboration.
Decarbonization especially depends on strong partnerships across the value chain. These efforts contribute to building a climate-resilient infrastructure. Resilience and sustainability go hand in hand if we aim to remain reliable and prepared for the future.
Sustainable progress depends not only on where we aim to go, but equally on how we get there.”

UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s)

Our materiality analysis has helped us sharpen our focus: out of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals, five stand out as the most relevant for our business. These goals represent the areas where we can make the strongest contribution – and where our actions today help shape a more sustainable tomorrow.
Collaboration
is key!
Collaboration – within our teams and across the value chain – is key to our approach. With structured project management, transparent data, and clear responsibilities as our foundation, we now focus on deeper stakeholder alignment and joint action on ESG goals.
By working closely with partners, clients, and suppliers, we unlock innovation and tackle complex challenges together.

Operating in the offshore wind sector means operating in a high-risk environment. For us, safety is more than compliance – it’s a culture. We firmly believe that strong safety performance begins with mindset and shared responsibility. That’s why we have adopted the Safety Culture Ladder (SCL) framework: to actively measure, develop, and embed a proactive safety culture across all levels of our organization.
Our Safety Culture Ladder

As an English-speaking company operating in a truly global industry, diversity and tolerance are a natural part of who we are. Working internationally has always been integral to our business – and so is creating an inclusive environment where different backgrounds, perspectives, and cultures are respected and valued. Internationality isn’t a goal, it’s a given for us.
The SeaRenergy Group is strongly committed to diversity, inclusion, and non-discrimination. These values are embedded in our Code of Conduct and further supported by the Golden Rules. We define diversity as the respectful cooperation of people with different backgrounds, cultures, identities, and orientations. Inclusion and equal opportunity are integral to how we work across all business areas. A clear anti-discrimination policy applies to all employees and partners, supported by leadership accountability and a culture of transparency and mutual respect.
